Amazed by Charice Pempengco

She got to perform on the Ellen show.  But she comes back to Star King once again and performs some other songs and sings a duet with Lena Park.  Woohoo. 

Lena Park has a wonderful voice, yet she’s not as popular as the young pop music.  I love her style and her music, but I know she won’t get the rewards that she deserves.  These music awards tend to go to the Best Dance Group or Hit Song.  Nothing about talent (at times).  I remember one year Hyori won 3 Daesangs with her hit song, 10 Minutes.  Cough, today it’s the Wonder Girls hit – Tell Me.  Hey, I do like the Tell Me song since it’s catchy and old schooled.  But the 10 Minutes song was really a disaster. 

 Oh I watched some of the performances on SBS Gayo Awards.  Some were like battles such as SNSD vs. Wonder Girls.  Hm, I really can’t say who won because SNSD may won it by singing but just know there are 9 girls and if one sings BAD, the whole group can mask it.  And their pom – pom dresses were not impressing me.  EEK, go back to 80s if you want to look like a prom queen there.  Wonder Girls – I always like their style during Awards show, it’s simple and clean with the white shirts and ties.  I think dancing goes with Wonder Girls and the one thing I never get is they don’t harmonize to help with one another singing.  So when the light hits on one singer, it’s really one singer with some recording in the background.  Maybe that’s JYP style. 

Super Junior was singing Hope (originally performed by H.O.T).  Yeah, I wasn’t feeling it with them either.  I can understand them singing ‘Candy’ and ‘Hengbok’.  But I really like Hope or Bit, but it just didn’t sound as great.  I wished the Kangta parts were sung by KyuHyun because he has a better singing voice than the rest.  SuJu also did their version of Hug.  Hmm, I was afraid of the bashing since I think they did an alright job, but I always want to hear Kim Junsu’s voice.  I miss DongBangShinKi (DBSK).

It seems that LSM is promoting more SuJu and SNSD than DBSK.  That’s how they treated Shinhwa when DBSK was hitting the charts.  With the SBS Awards, I like how they did Entertainment groups singing.  I did like JYP performance showing GSoul, Min, Lim Jeong Hee, and Wonder Girls.  SM was alright.
